I am looking forward to Alone in the Dark for the Xbox 360 this year. It sounds like a really interesting game. Take a look.

.

As I said, it looks fantastic. As said in the trailer, you can combine real-world everyday objects to create things like bombs, moving lights, and other things. Hundreds of strategies formed in my mind as I watched this. It's great to see a survival game that doesn't have you rely entirely on guns. While the amount of combinations probably won't be what I'd expect, imagine, or wish, I'm sure there will be quite a few good ones to use.

As I said, strategies formed. If you have a few bottles of flammable liquid, and you are surrounded by enemies, you could make two quick rings around yourself, one big one small, light the rings up, and shoot monsters from afar. Escape could be easy as well, and I fear that using the lighter and liquid could make the game MUCH easier than it will be intended to be. I wouldn't mind them adding fatigue in, broken bones and the such, making it a much more realistic survival game, aside from the demon monster things from hell.

I really enjoyed playing Elder Scrolls III, Morrowind, and Elder Scrolls IV, Oblivion. But rumors have been spreading around about an Elder Scrolls MMO. While I think this would be fantastic, I would be deeply disappointed by how obviously large the changes of game play would have to be. I wouldn't want this to be an MMORPG, that's for certain. Elder Scrolls going turn-based? NO! I'm excited, but these are mere rumors. I want to know if this is true or not! I wouldn't mind turning the game into an MMOFPS style, without the guns, of course. An MMO that relies on the skill of the player, making levels irrelevant would be great. And we already know they wouldn't get lazy, looking at Oblivion. There are so many dungeons and ruins that have nothing to do with any quests, gave the game a much more adventurous feel. Of course, the countless dungeons would have to be made like Guild Wars was, generating a world of monsters that only the player could actually touch. NPC companions when raiding a larger, harder dungeon would be good as well, if no one you trust is on.

Still, I hope they do make one, and hope it is true.
